Bonus Level Books

For parents

Lots of kids who won't pick up a book will happily talk about their favorite game for an hour. Our stories start there: worlds and rules they already know, with original characters, real stakes and short chapters that pull them to the next page.

What's never in our books

No gore or graphic violence, no romance or crushes, no swearing and no cruelty. Game weapons are only used against monsters and hazards, never on people. The spookier series are scary in the campfire-story sense, and nobody is hurt on the page.

Games and online safety

Many of the stories happen inside a game the characters play with friends. When that happens, the good habits are part of the story: playing with friends they know in real life, keeping voice chat off, being a good sport and telling a grown-up when something feels wrong.

Extras at the back

Depending on the series, the back of the book has puzzles, code-breakers, solve-it-yourself case notes, quizzes and real-world facts about pets, horses, weather and history.
